Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in Chase, BC. The Reporter will research, investigate, and produce news and feature stories related to topics relevant to RedPier Consulting and its clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting interviews, verifying facts, developing story ideas, and writing clear, accurate articles on tight deadlines. The role involves working with multimedia formats (such as photos, audio, or video) to enhance storytelling and collaborating with editors and other team members to refine content. The Reporter will also monitor local and industry developments, maintain professional relationships with sources, and ensure all content adheres to ethical and legal standards.

Qualifications

• Reporting and News Writing skills for researching, developing, and producing accurate, engaging stories.
• Strong Communication and Writing abilities for interviews, clear storytelling, and collaboration with team members and sources.
• Multimedia skills for working with photos, audio, or video to support and enrich written content.
• Ability to work on-site in Chase, BC and manage multiple assignments under deadline pressure.
• Knowledge of journalistic ethics, fact-checking practices, and basic media law.
• Proficiency with digital tools for research, content creation, and publishing (e.g., word processing, CMS, and basic editing software).
• Post-secondary education in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing fair, unbiased reporting.
