Reporting to the IT Squad Service Manager, the IT Technician plays a key role in ensuring the stability and quality of delivered services by advising and supporting colleagues in analyzing and resolving issues, leveraging a broad understanding of EBC’s business domains.
- Handle and resolve simple software or hardware incidents to minimize service disruptions.
- Escalate more complex cases to higher-level support, ensuring all necessary information is complete and clear.
- Apply procedures, contribute to the knowledge base, and report gaps to improve the quality of support services.
- Work with higher-level teams to analyze trends and improve processes and service quality.
- Actively participate in the HR–IT onboarding process for new employees, ensuring smooth system setup and deployment.
- Assist and support users with compliance requirements and adaptation to cybersecurity-related changes.
Requirements
- DEC or DEP in Computer Science or relevant field.
- Experience in IT support for end users and use of a ticket management system (ITSM).
- Strong communication skills; bilingualism English/French (written and spoken) preferred.
- Must be available for emergency support outside regular hours if required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 environment.
- Knowledge of using an ITSM platform.
