What You’ll Do
"This position will be based in Eaton’s Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (GSC CoE) in Pune.
The person in this position will be responsibile to support corporate driven supplier risk management process in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role includes identification and supporting SCM business to initiate risk mitigation strategies for suppliers as needed. This role is additionally responsible for supporting Business Continuity Management (BCM) within Eaton. BCM is an Eaton corporate process that identifies risks and establishes mitigation & recovery plans for key building & infrastructure; equipment; manufacturing personnel; tooling; suppliers; customers; and IT to provide effective mitigation and recovery for Eaton’s key assets and revenue." Supplier Risk Management -
> Supporting various activities within implementation of the risk detection solution aligned to Eaton's key strategic initiative within supply chain
> Risk detection: Monitor various risk events occurring globally that could impact Eaton supply base
> Risk Assessment: Collaborate with Suppliers & internal teams to assess impact of risk events on Eaton operations.
> Risk mitigation:
- Effective coordination with sourcing & category management teams to develop robust mitigation strategies (Contingency & recovery plans) for various risk events (Crisis situation)
- Ensuring timely execution of mitigation strategies
- Preparing risk event summary and communication to leadership team on regular basis
> Review and analyze third-party financial health assessment reports of suppliers.
> Interpret financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow) to identify potential financial risks and early warning indicators.>
> Evaluate key financial ratios (liquidity, solvency, profitability, leverage) based on general accounting principles.
Technical Competancies & Service Delivery Requirements -
> Hands on experiece of managing various risk events
> Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS basics)
> Ability to analyze financial ratios (current ratio, debt-equity, EBITDA margins, etc.)
> Knowledge of credit risk assessment and supplier risk evaluation
> Proficiency in interpreting third-party risk reports and financial tools
> Excellent communication skills along with ability to work with cross functional teams globally.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, Statistical background will be an added advantage
> upto 5 years of working experience in global supply chain environment, preferably within manufacturing industry alongwith hands on experience of managing supply chain/ supplier risk management.
