Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Staff Accountant supports in maintaining accurate general ledger records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Accounting and Financial rules and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Prepare and send invoices to customers and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Resolve discrepancies and disputes related to payments.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Assist with HST filings and annual external audit preparation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
