Part Time Hygienist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experience dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. Days needed are Tuesdays and Saturdays

Duties

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.
• Assist in the application of fluoride treatments and sealants when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix.
• Support the dental team with sterilization procedures and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally and empathetically.
• Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques, orthodontics, pediatrics, and other relevant areas to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist.
• Experience with Paradigm or similar dental management software is preferred.
• Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is advantageous.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse patient populations.
• Prior experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
• Dental assisting experience or familiarity with clinical procedures is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
