Role Overview
The Cashless Claims Associate provides vital, on-ground support to insured members directly at hospital premises. This role is responsible for facilitating a seamless cashless claim process from the moment a patient is admitted through to their discharge. Operating as the primary on-site link between the patient, hospital administration, and insurance providers, the Associate ensures efficient claim settlement and delivers superior customer service in strict accordance with organizational policies and insurance regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Assistance & Customer Service
- In-Person Support: Provide empathetic, face-to-face assistance to insured members and their families during the stressful period of hospitalization.
- Process Guidance: Verify network hospital status and actively assist families with pre-authorization requests, claim queries, and discharge formalities.
- Policy Education: Clearly explain policy coverage, explicit exclusions, and the step-by-step cashless claims process to patients to manage expectations.
2. Claims Coordination & Monitoring
- Document Gathering: Efficiently collect all necessary documentation, including government-issued ID proofs, medical records, and discharge summaries.
- Billing Validation: Review billing details against policy terms and ensure the accuracy of initial pre-authorization approvals.
- Progress Tracking: Closely monitor claim progress through the pipeline and coordinate any necessary medical enhancement requests during the patient's stay.
