Your area of work:

StatistiX® is the Data Warehouse and Data Platform of Trading & Clearing segment of Deutsche Börse Group. StatistiX® provides external and internal users worldwide with statistical information on financial markets, offers Data Store Services and acts as Business Intelligence and Risk Analytics platform of Deutsche Börse Group. Your responsibilities:

• Main duties will involve operating an acceptance test environment,
• Supporting BAT (Business Acceptance Team) teams, ensuring the test environment is available and up to date and ready for BAT execution.
• Investigating and resolving technical issues on Data Warehouse and Data Platform tech stack.
• Working closely with development teams to maintain / update ETL workflow and batch scheduling jobs. Preparing and deploying latest code to the acceptance test environment using tools GitHub, Gradle and Shell Scripting.
• Design and maintain batch scheduler jobs for acceptance test environment.
• Provide automated solutions for environment update and maintenance.
• Creating technical documentation detailing the operation of acceptance test environments and related applications.
• Participate in deployment of new software executing automated tests pre-deployment, providing a deployment quality gate.
• Participate in platform/tool upgrade and interface testing as and when required.
• Perform detailed Data Analysis, Data Cleansing, Profiling, Reconciliation and Integrity using SQL and Shell scripts.
• Develop complex PL/SQL & SQL scripts to validate implemented ETL processes and design.
• Actively participate in the evolution of test automation in the Data Warehouse and Data Platform areas. Using technologies such as Gradle, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, Python etc.
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of a Gradle based test automation framework used for functional, regression and technical testing.
• Willingness to learn new functionality as well as technology to be bring the team to next level.
• Test automation of Data Lake through Jenkins CI/CD pipelines would be added advantage
• Application security testing with Fortify and container security exposure would be added advantage

Your profile:

• University degree in Computer Science or similar, technical subject
• Preferably 3 or more years of relevant professional experience
• Solid understanding of Data Modelling, Data warehousing and Data platforms design.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Proficient with version control such as: Git, GitHub or GitLab
• Solid understanding of Data warehousing and Data platforms design.
• Experience supporting BAT teams and BAT test environments.
• Experience with workflow and batch scheduling. Added advantage of Control-M and Informatica experience.
• Good know-how on Financial Markets. Know-how on Clearing, Trading and Risk business process will be added advantage
• Know-How on Java, Spark & BI reporting will be an added advantage.
• Know-how of cloud platform and affinity towards modern technology an added advantage.
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline and exposure to DevOps methodologies will be considered as added advantage.
• Strong influential and communication skills to liaise with team across different demographics
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must and German know-how will be added advantage.
