Job Description

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF DATA ANALYSIS

We are seeking a detail-oriented Analyst to join our team and support our mission of transforming powerline inspections. You will be responsible for analyzing and assessing utility inspection imagery and managing our services inventory. Your work with Detect will include identifying defects, developing processes, and providing grid-level insights and analytics. This role offers the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, and provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of powerline data analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and maintain an accurate services inventory
  • Provide detailed utility operational reports
  • Annotate powerline inspection imagery to identify issues and areas requiring attention
  • Review and verify annotated data to ensure high quality and consistency
  • Identify and flag any discrepancies in the collected data
  • Develop analytical tools and processes
  • Collaborate with team members to improve data analysis processes
  • Provide support to other analysts or the operations team when needed
  • Participate in feedback sessions to improve annotation tools and workflows
  • Provide insights and suggestions for enhancing software efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary education
  • Attention to detail and a focus on producing consistent, high-quality results
  • Comfortable with technology and able to operate specialized software
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work independently with great attention to detail
  • Basic technical literacy and comfort learning new software tools
  • Knowledge of powerline systems is a bonus but not required
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to accuracy
