Intellectual Property Legal Assistant (Hybrid-Remote North Bethesda, MD)
DesignLaw Group, a highly regarded law firm that concentrates on designs, product configurations and related intellectual property, is seeking candidates for a hybrid-remote position to support our North Bethesda, MD office. Our firm is consistently recognized as a top design patent law firm. We currently have an opportunity for an outstanding full-time legal assistant with 1-3+ years of experience to become an integral part of our practice.
Essential Functions:
Our legal assistants are responsible for preparing and filing documents for patent, trademark and copyright applications, communicating with attorneys, foreign associates and clients and performing other administrative duties as needed. Our legal assistants have great freedom and responsibility to work independently but are also team players who work in a collaborative environment, interacting with our attorneys, associates, and clients. Our attention to detail and client service are core values.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory
Experience: One-three+ years of legal experience; experience in intellectual property and docketing and formalities management preferred but not required.
Skills: Ability to prioritize workload while remaining flexible; strong organizational skills; willingness to tackle projects both large and small; outstanding attention to detail; proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
Wages:
$45,000 - $90,000 Please note the salary range is provided in compliance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Annual bonuses (variable depending on firm and employee performance). Overtime opportunities available.
