Job description
UX Researcher (d/f/m)
Berlin, Hamburg, Hybrid
JOB PURPOSE
As a User Researcher, you help product teams make confident, customer-centered decisions by uncovering real user needs, motivations, behaviors and opportunities. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on research to explore problem spaces, test hypotheses and turn insights into action.
In this role, you’ll work at the core of one of our key client teams, shaping how research contributes to the development of digital products and services. From exploring the adoption of AI technologies to enabling journey-driven product thinking – you’ll bring clarity to complexity and structure to uncertainty.
You’ll design and conduct studies, synthesize results, and make insights accessible and actionable for product managers, designers and other stakeholders. But you’ll also help evolve the research practice itself by refining methods, improving tooling and championing user needs across the team. And you’ll do it all in a dynamic environment with some of the most talented (and fun) people the industry has to offer.
WHAT YOU´LL DO
- Plan and conduct user research – from exploratory discovery work to usability tests and concept validations
- Frame research questions and help teams explore problem spaces before jumping into solutions
- Analyse results, document insights, and share them in ways that support product and design decisions
- Work closely with designers, product managers and developers in a cross-functional team environment
- Support the development of research standards and ways of working that scale across teams and topics
- Bring inspiration and structure to the research process, through methods, tools and best practices
- Advocate for a journey-driven, evidence-based approach to product development
- Stay curious: continuously evolve your methods and contribute to the research culture across the team
WHAT YOU BRING
- Several years of experience in user research, ideally at an agency and in agile, product-focused environments
- Strong skills in running and analysing studies – from usability tests to interviews and concept validations
- A talent for making research results easy to understand and act on for designers, product managers and stakeholders
- You stay up to date with emerging tools, methods and technologies and enjoy bringing fresh perspectives into the team
- Familiarity with journey mapping and experience frameworks and a drive to make them part of real product work
- Confidence in facilitating sessions, speaking with users and contributing to product strategy
- A proactive mindset: you bring structure, keep pushing your practice forward, and enjoy working hands-on
- You’re fluent in German and comfortable working in English
WE OFFER
- Flexible, hybrid working policy (1-2 days at the office, depending on location);
- Company pension scheme.
- Lease bike options / JobRad and 25% subsidy for the Deutschlandticket.
- Occasional breakfast/lunch at the office, Smoothie Tuesdays.
- Stay happy and healthy with a contribution to your health through the OpenUp platform;
