The team

The Deloitte South Asia strategic growth team serves as a central pillar driving growth and transformation within DSA, spanning several business lines and various technology functions. We are established as a centralized team collaborating across consulting, implementation, and operation to maintain and enhance client value offerings and services. We innovate conventional approaches, leveraging Deloitte technology, differentiated domain expertise, intellectual property, talent, and capacity to embed continuous advantage and deliver enhanced business value.

In this team, our focus is on catering to the unique needs and preferences of clients in the South Asia region. Your role within this dynamic team is essential for establishing networks and relationships across the client stakeholder ecosystem and ensuring service fulfillment. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Deloitte leadership and stakeholders dedicated to the client. Your contributions will involve nurturing new and existing relationships, supporting presales life cycles, and playing a pivotal role in driving the success of DSA business growth for the specific client.

Your work profile

As a Senior Consultant in Deloitte’s SAP Integration practice, you will design, develop, and deliver complex integration solutions using SAP PI/PO. This role requires full-time on-site presence at the client’s Noida location, with the consultant expected to follow the client’s working hours and operational schedule. You will collaborate closely with client stakeholders, Deloitte teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure end-to-end integration delivery.

Experience in SAP CPI (Cloud Integration) is an added advantage, but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

Lead end-to-end design and implementation of SAP PI/PO integration scenarios (7.4/7.5).

Architect and configure ESR objects, ID scenarios, and Integration Flows.

Define integration patterns (sync/async, pub-sub) as per enterprise architecture.

Interface Development & Configuration

Develop and configure interfaces using:

Graphical, Java, XSLT mappings

IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, SFTP, JDBC, JMS adapters

Set up and optimize ICO (Integrated Configuration Objects).

Work with XML/JSON structures, schemas (XSD), WSDL, and Web Services.

Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Support

Perform L2/L3 support, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis.

Monitor message queues, workloads, and performance KPIs in PI/PO.

Coordinate with Basis teams for transports, performance tuning, and system stability.

Stakeholder Management & Consulting

Engage with client stakeholders at the Noida location to gather requirements.

Conduct design discussions, walkthroughs, and technical workshops.

Provide expert guidance on integration strategy and best practices.

Documentation & Quality Assurance

Prepare HLD, LLD, technical specs, test scripts, and deployment documentation.

Ensure adherence to Deloitte’s delivery standards and methodology.

Leadership & Team Contribution

Mentor junior consultants and conduct code reviews.

Participate in internal knowledge-building, templates, and accelerators.

Support pre-sales with estimations, technical inputs, and proposals.

On-Site Requirement & Work Schedule

Mandatory on-site work at the client’s Noida office throughout the engagement.

Consultant must follow the client’s time zone, daily schedule, and business calendar.

Flexibility for extended hours based on deliverables or client needs.

Required Skills & Experience

5–9 years of hands-on experience in SAP PI/PO.

Strong expertise in ESR, Integration Directory, mappings (Graphical/Java/XSLT).

Experience with adapters: SOAP, REST, SFTP, JMS, JDBC, RFC, IDoc.

Excellent troubleshooting skills for XML, JSON, WSDL, and SOAP/REST services.

Knowledge of ABAP proxies and S/4HANA/ECC integration.

Preferred (Add-On) Skills

Experience with SAP CPI (Cloud Integration) – added advantage, not mandatory.

Familiarity with API Management, OData, and cloud integration patterns.

Basic ABAP debugging experience.

Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Soft Skills

Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
