Profile
We are searching for an Avionics/Electrical Engineering Intern to join the De Havilland Engineering team. This opportunity will allow you to gain experience in the aerospace industry while supporting ongoing projects and various departmental functions.
This 16-month internship will begin in May, 2026.
Duties & Responsibilities
General Tasks:
- Support reviewing vendor requirement specifications, design documentation including engineering drawings, modification summary packages and vendor equipment qualification reports.
- Support Design Change Proposals.
- Support engineering drawing and CATIA / AutoCAD computer system modeling change and review.
- Support preparing and defining Technical Requirement Documents and Engineering Technical Assessments.
- Support evaluating vendor technical proposals, internal Program Change Requests and Engineering Change Notices.
- Support preparing technical reports to show compliance to the applicable certification requirements.
- Work on a project to provide a road map to incorporate the certification reports from the avionics upgrade STC into the De Havilland type certification standards and documents.
- Review existing STC certification documents (Cert Plan, Test Plan, Cert report, Compliance Reports, etc.)
- Provide a statement whether the cert documents can be used as is or a modification is required.
- If modification is required, complete the modification, and submit to the specialists for review.
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Current engineering student (bachelor’s or masters)
- Preference to students who are completing an aerospace, Electrical or mechanical engineering degree.
