Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinary Surgeon (Branch Manager) located in Gurgaon. The Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, conducting surgeries, providing preventive care, and ensuring the overall well-being of pets. Additional responsibilities include performing laboratory tests, prescribing medication, and collaborating with a team of veterinary professionals to deliver exceptional care to our patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries , including pre-operative planning, surgical execution, and post-operative care
  • Conduct outpatient consultations , diagnose complex cases, and recommend appropriate surgical or medical treatment plans
  • Manage anesthesia protocols , pain management, and intraoperative monitoring for surgical patients
  • Oversee inpatient care , including post-surgical recovery, wound management, and rehabilitation guidance
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, ultrasound, etc.) and lab reports to support surgical decision-making
  • Maintain accurate medical records , surgical notes, and treatment documentation
  • Supervise and train veterinary nurses, technicians, and junior doctors in surgical assistance and patient care
  • Collaborate with the team to improve hospital protocols, surgical outcomes, and EMR systems
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic and soft tissue surgical techniques through continuous learning
  • Ensure strict adherence to clinical protocols, hygiene standards, and company policies
  • Assist in inventory management , especially surgical instruments, implants, and consumables
  • Coordinate with pharmaceutical representatives and diagnostic labs for surgical support and patient care
  • Be adaptable to handle emergency surgeries and critical cases as required
  • Requirements:
  • MVSc in Surgery preferred
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery
  • Freshers with strong surgical training and exposure can also apply
  • Strong knowledge of fracture management, soft tissue procedures, and surgical protocols
  • Ability to handle multiple critical cases with sound clinical judgment
  • High sense of responsibility and ownership toward patient care
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
