Overview

Our client is looking for a Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience building data pipelines on AWS. The candidate should have experience working with ETL/ELT workflows, CDC pipelines, and event-driven data processing, along with exposure to modern data warehouse / lakehouse architectures.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable data pipelines on AWS
Develop batch, incremental, and event-driven ETL/ELT workflows
Implement CDC (Change Data Capture) based ingestion pipelines
Build data ingestion flows from relational and NoSQL databases
Work with data lakes / warehouses / streaming pipelines
Optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and cost
Collaborate with backend, analytics, and data science teams

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services such as:
Glue, DMS, Redshift, S3, Lambda, EMR, Step Functions, Kinesis
Experience with CDC / event-based / streaming / incremental ETL pipelines
Experience with Postgres / PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Strong SQL and Python for data processing
Understanding of data lake / warehouse / ETL architecture

Good to Have:

Experience with Kafka / queue / streaming systems
Experience with Databricks / Snowflake
Experience with Airflow or workflow orchestration
Experience with Spark / PySpark
