About the Team
The mission of Databricks Legal is to apply legal resources and expertise to help Databricks achieve its growth and strategic objectives, while thoughtfully protecting Databricks with a reasonable balance of risk versus opportunity.

What we look for
Databricks is looking for an experienced Program Analyst, Legal Ops (Commercial) to support the Databricks Commercial Legal team’s AI and scaling initiatives, including working with the Commercial Legal Center of Excellence (CoE). The dedicated Program Analyst will work to align, program manage, and track the multiple high-priority initiatives. This role is essential to enable the Commercial Legal team to effectively achieve Databricks' long-term corporate goals. 

The impact you will have

  • Driving Project Alignment and Execution: The Program Analyst will serve as the dedicated resource to help plan, administer, and track upcoming projects and initiatives; gather and organize information to inform leadership decisions on cross-functional projects; and help coordinate complex post-M&A integration tasks as needed and the implementation of post-signature strategic partnerships, alliances. 
  • Improving Cross-Functional Interlock: The role will provide a dedicated point of contact, enabling tighter and more efficient interlock with strategic alliances, partnerships, product legal, commercialization, and finance.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of AI tools to automate routine tasks and enhance productivity.

  • You will demonstrate excellent project management, and an ability to coordinate efforts across multiple stakeholders, teams, and regions.
  • You are expected to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality and meeting tight deadlines.
  • You routinely identify and recommend opportunities to change and improve ways of working.
  • You are a bar raiser, constantly looking to improve standards within the team and to streamline  process and quality across different regions.

What we look for

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Three or more years of experience working as paralegal, program manager, contracts specialist or contracts admin. 
  • Experience with leveraging AI or machine learning in a legal setting
  • Experience with pre-sales, sales operations, and/or deal desk; experience within a commercial team is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the tools used by in-house commercial legal teams to facilitate the contracting process for revenue, including tools used for contract generation and routing (e.g., SFDC, CPQ, and CLM), and signatures (e.g., DocuSign).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across diverse cultures.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with proposal management software.

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. $92,200$126,700 USD
