What we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced SEO specialist to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a well-rounded background and experience with SEO practices; someone who is great at planning and executing SEO strategies for local companies; someone who can prove technical skills for small to large projects.

Responsibilities

Keyword Research and Analysis

Conduct comprehensive keyword research in both English and French to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords.

Analyze competitors' SEO strategies and stay updated on industry trends to ensure our content remains competitive.

SEO Content Strategy

Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with SEO goals and target audience needs.

Write and edit high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly content briefs for websites, blogs, and other digital platforms.

Collaborate with the content team to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all channels.

On-Page SEO Optimization

Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements for search engines in both languages.

Collaborate with content creators to implement SEO best practices in English and French content.

Technical SEO

Audit and optimize website structure for optimal crawling and indexing.

Identify and resolve technical SEO issues that may impact search engine rankings.

Content Localization

Work closely with content creators to ensure culturally relevant and localized content for English and French-speaking audiences.

Implement hreflang tags and other localization strategies to enhance search visibility.

Link Building

Develop and execute a comprehensive link-building strategy for both English and French markets.

Build relationships with relevant websites to acquire high-quality backlinks.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Utilize SEO tools to monitor and analyze website performance, traffic, and keyword rankings.

Generate regular reports on key SEO metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content, and development, to align SEO strategies with overall business goals.

Communicate SEO best practices and recommendations to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Min. 3 years of proven experience as an SEO Specialist, preferably in a bilingual environment.

In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, algorithms, and ranking factors.

Proficiency in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, GTM, Search Console, GMB, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog etc.

Strong Experience with WordPress and related plugins: Elementor, VisualComposer, Yoast, RankMath, WPML etc.

Good to have experience with: BrightLocal, Popular AI Tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
