DevOps Engineer – Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

The ideal candidate will work closely with Software Engineering, QA, and Platform teams to build, maintain, and optimize scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments while driving operational excellence and automation.

Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. Develop, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and modern DevOps practices.

Manage and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA, and Product teams to define deployment, infrastructure, and operational requirements. Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and cloud environments.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools. Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, and AppDynamics.

Standardize application deployment processes and improve release reliability.

Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance tuning across platform services.

Ensure platform resilience, availability, security, and compliance with organizational standards. Continuously evaluate infrastructure costs and implement optimization strategies.

Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to drive automation and infrastructure improvements.

Maintain and enhance DevOps best practices, including Git workflows, branching strategies, and deployment pipelines. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Software Development with infrastructure responsibilities.

Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, etc.).

Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills. Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD automation. Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker.

Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation.

Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, AppDynamics, or equivalent. Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and Identity & Access Management (IAM). Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting microservices-based architectures.

Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks.

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or related certifications. Experience with cost optimization and cloud governance initiatives.

Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments.
