Full-Time Reporter / Fellows Program

Job Overview:

The Daily Caller News Foundation is seeking applicants for a full-time, salaried reporting fellow at one of the most-read conservative news organizations in the country. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with keen research skills, a knowledge and interest in political journalism, and the ability to effectively communicate complex policy ideas. The candidate must also have excellent news judgment, with an eye for what stories will draw public interest. The fellowship is a two-year, full-time program in which reporters will learn the skills necessary to succeed in journalism through hands-on writing, interviews with prominent thinkers and leaders, researching, attending daily editorial meetings and going to events in the nation’s capital and from around the country.

Beats include business, defense, labor, abortion, energy, politics, education, foreign affairs, drug policy, immigration, regulation, energy, crime and religious liberty.

Responsibilities include:

Write for publication, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards.

Stay informed about current events and news developments to identify compelling story ideas.

Pitch stories on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Strong writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent news judgment and the ability to identify stories of public interest.
• Familiarity with conservative, America First perspectives and a commitment to journalistic integrity.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
