Platform Engineer, User Experience

As a backend engineer at the Member Experience team of India's largest fitness platform, your role involves developing APIs and microservices to power group workouts, gym sessions, and member retention at scale. You will work on AI-assisted workflows and agent-based tooling to enhance team productivity. Additionally, you will integrate member data, scheduling, and engagement systems to provide a seamless experience for users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop APIs and microservices for group workouts, gym sessions, and member retention
• Implement AI-assisted workflows and agent-based tooling to improve team efficiency
• Integrate member data, scheduling, and engagement systems for a cohesive user experience

Qualifications Required:

• 1.52 years of backend experience at a product-based company
• Proficiency in Node.Js / TypeScript or Java / Spring Boot, with deep ownership of one and working familiarity with the other as a plus
• Strong understanding of REST API design principles including versioning, idempotency, error contracts, and authentication
• Familiarity with SQL and at least one NoSQL store (Redis, MongoDB)
• Ability to analyze latency, retries, and failure modes, beyond just the happy paths
• Interest in AI tools and their impact on accelerating project delivery
• Demonstrated ownership mindset by leading a feature from design to post-launch metrics
• Proactive in identifying and addressing risks, with a focus on code quality for maintainability
