Job Description – AWS Platform Engineer (Intermediate)

About the Role

Creyente Infotech is hiring an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to support and enhance cloud infrastructure powering mission-critical financial systems. This role focuses on AWS cloud engineering, automation, infrastructure reliability, and operational efficiency across hybrid environments.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys building scalable platforms, automating operations, and solving complex infrastructure challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Engineering

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure including EC2, ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Support hybrid environments spanning AWS and on-prem infrastructure.
• Automation & Infrastructure as Code
• Build automation using Terraform, Python, Shell, or Ansible.
• Develop reusable infrastructure templates and improve deployment pipelines.
• Automate operational tasks such as patching, deployments, scaling, and monitoring.

Platform Reliability

• Improve system reliability through monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across cloud platforms.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and system improvements.

Operational Excellence

• Support backup, disaster recovery, and system hardening practices.
• Work closely with engineering teams to improve platform stability and automation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4–7 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Automation and scripting using Python or Shell.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK.
• Strong fundamentals in Linux or Windows server environments.
• Good understanding of cloud networking, security, and IAM.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to financial trading platforms such as Front Arena, Calypso, or Murex.
• Experience supporting high-availability systems in production environments.
