As the Risk & Compliance Officer, you will strengthen and enhance our current risk management practices, with the overall goal of protecting the credit union and our members.
You have a desire to learn and bring with you an in-depth understanding of risk and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have years of service in the credit union system, and a minimum of two to four years of experience in compliance and risk. Reporting to the Manager of Finance & Corporate Services, you will be responsible for safeguarding the credit union’s regulatory integrity and risk framework.
The role ensures full compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and industry codes, including Privacy requirements, Market Code, Code of Conduct, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) obligations.
The Risk & Compliance Officer leads and maintains the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management framework and oversees key risk governance functions, including the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), Risk Appetite Statements, Information Technology risk, Third-Party risk assessments, and the Business Continuity Plan to ensure operational resilience and sound risk management practices.
This opportunity boasts some flexibility in the working location for the successful candidate. The choice is yours, work in any of our branches, work hybrid, where some of your time will be in branch and some from home, or work remote. Our only requirement with remote, and hybrid working arrangements; you will be required to work in our home province of Saskatchewan.
From time to time, to meet the needs of the organization, and to enhance team building, the incumbent will be required to work in the branch.
