Job Description
🌟 We’re Hiring: Content Designer (12-Month+ Contract | Toronto | 4 days in office | 1 day remote)
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Content Designer to help shape the voice and messaging of high-impact, consumer-facing digital experiences. You’ll be embedded in a cross-functional product squad, collaborating with designers, researchers, and product owners to create content that’s clear, inclusive, and deeply connected to user needs.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of content strategy and creation end-to-end — from research and ideation through to polished, user-ready copy. You’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring every digital interaction communicates value, builds trust, and supports a seamless user journey.
What You’ll Do
🔹 Develop content strategies that support user understanding and engagement across responsive web and mobile products.
🔹 Write clear, concise, and human-centred copy — from microcopy and labels to explanatory text and go-to-market content.
🔹 Collaborate with designers, researchers, and product stakeholders to align content with design principles, brand standards, and accessibility best practices.
🔹 Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to ensure content meets all requirements without sacrificing clarity.
🔹 Conduct content audits, competitive research, and testing to continuously improve messaging effectiveness.
🔹 Champion inclusive design principles in all content decisions.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Professional writing experience in a creative agency or in-house product/design team.
✅ A strong portfolio showcasing content design and UX writing for digital products.
✅ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about content’s role in the user experience.
✅ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
✅ Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Nice to Haves
✨ Familiarity with design systems, information architecture, or UX writing best practices.
✨ Experience supporting usability testing for content.
Why Join?
You’ll join a well-established design team inside one of Canada’s most recognized digital organizations, where content design is respected, supported, and embedded in every stage of product development. You’ll work on solutions used by millions of people and collaborate with experts across disciplines — all while helping to shape the future of content design as a practice.
