UX Designer

Our healthcare client is looking for a Product/ UX Designer to joiin their team for a 12+ month contract. This will be fulltime hours per week, with 1x per week onsite (either in Kitchener or Downtown Toronto).

You will work across the full product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, translating complex regulations, data, and workflows into intuitive, trustworthy experiences.

Rate range is $55-60 per hour, T4.

Target start date is end of March.

What you will do:

• Work on end to end design for digital products, including research, journey mapping, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity UI.
• Partner with product managers, engineers and fellow Designers to define requirements and shape product strategy.
• Conduct user research to uncover needs, pain points and opportunities.
• Simplify complex insurance/ healthcare concepts into clear, accessible experiences.
• Contribute to and evolve design systems tailored to healthcare and insurance workflows.
• Communicate design rationale cleated through documentation, presentations and cross functional collaboration.

Experience needed:

• 7+ years of experience is ideal, ie. Senior level.
• Proficiency with modern design tools: Figma, Sketch, Usertesting.com etc.
• Strong interaction design, visual design and IA skills.
• Experience designing digital products in regulated and/or complex domains (Financial, Insurance, Healthcare etc).

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
