Cozy Cats Veterinary (A Cat Practice) is a feline exclusive veterinary practice serving the community of Silver Springs, MD and the surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinary Receptionist to collaborate and aid in delivering exceptional care.

At Cozy Cats we believe in treating every patient as if they were our own cat, and giving them the same loving attention, compassion, and care. We are a group of highly trained, experienced, and devoted animal lovers who offer preventative care, dental care, surgery, digital x-ray, behavior management, grooming, onsite lab and pharmacy, and emergency services. We are seeking a team oriented individual who demonstrates strong interpersonal and who possess:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Veterinary Receptionist (required)
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a customer service role (required)
• Vet Assistant experience and cross-coverage flexibility (preferred)
• Certification or demonstrated knowledge of Fear Free and/or Friendly handling techniques
• Proficiency in triage with a multi-line phone system and in person
• Experience handling financial transactions with a high level of accuracy
• Skilled in coordinating patient check-in, admission, and discharge
• Proficiency maintaining digital records using practice software, Shepherd, and Microsoft Suite
• Working knowledge of prescription medications for refill processing
• Familiarity with heartworm, flea, and parasite prevention products
• Understanding of DEA and OSHA compliance standards
• Strong organizational skills with excellent time management and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. unassisted and remain seated or standing for extended periods
