About the role

We’re looking for a strong Full-Stack Developer with cross-platform mobile, backend, and cloud infrastructure experience.

This role is ideal for someone who can contribute across the stack, from building high-quality mobile experiences to designing backend services, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure.

Flutter is our primary mobile framework, so Flutter experience is ideal. However, strong experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as React Native is also highly relevant for this position.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain mobile application features, primarily using Flutter.
• Contribute across the full stack, including mobile, frontend, backend, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Firebase.
• Build robust server-side logic using Node.js and Cloud Functions in a serverless architecture.
• Model, manage, and optimize Firestore databases for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Collaborate closely with developers, QA, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality features end to end.
• Partner with product to define technical solutions that are scalable, pragmatic, and aligned with business goals.
• Coordinate implementation across mobile, frontend, backend, and QA dependencies.
• Support deployments and help ensure smooth delivery across environments.
• Monitor, debug, and improve system performance, reliability, observability, and error handling.
• Investigate production issues and contribute to durable fixes.
• Contribute to improving engineering practices, tooling, documentation, and overall development velocity.
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate development, improve documentation, explore solutions, and support maintainable system design.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software development experience across mobile, full-stack, or product engineering roles.
• Strong experience building cross-platform or hybrid mobile applications.
• Experience with Flutter is ideal; experience with React Native or similar cross-platform mobile frameworks is also valuable.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals, including comfort working across application UI, APIs, backend services, and data models.
• Backend/API development experience, preferably with Node.js or similar technologies.
• Experience with serverless architectures such as Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda, or similar.
• Experience with cloud-based application development; GCP, Firebase, and Firestore experience are strong advantages.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, authentication patterns, and integration workflows.
• Experience with database design, indexing strategies, and performance optimization.
• Ability to build maintainable, reliable, and well-tested software.
• Strong debugging skills and comfort investigating complex technical issues across mobile, frontend, backend, and cloud surfaces.
• Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Good judgment when using AI tools to design, implement, document, and improve technical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Flutter experience in production applications.
• Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience building or scaling production systems in a startup environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for serverless and mobile applications.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud-based environments.
• Experience working with external integrations and APIs at scale.
• Experience improving developer tooling, internal dashboards, observability, or admin workflows.

The pay range for this role is:

110,000 - 130,000 CAD per year(Remote (Canada))
