Forklift Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Seated Operator to join our warehouse team. In this role you will operate a seated forklift to load and unload trailers, prepare and secure palletized loads, and help keep the dock and staging areas clean and safe. You will also support inventory handling, basic record keeping, and teamwork to ensure accurate, on-time shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a seated forklift to load/unload pallets from floor to trailer and vice versa.
• Prepare slip sheets, stabilizing and shrink-wrapping palletized loads to meet shipping standards.
• Remove large debris, sweep and maintain a clear 53ft x 8ft staging/dock area.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and report defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with basic inventory tasks and accurate documentation of pallet counts and movements.
• Follow all safety procedures, including OSHA and company-specific guidelines for safe forklift operation and material handling.
• Work with the warehouse team to stage orders, load trailers in the proper sequence, and meet productivity and accuracy targets.
• Support cross-training efforts and fill in for other warehouse duties as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a seated forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to complete company training.
• Ability to safely lift, push, and move materials as required by job duties.
• Comfortable working in multi-temperature environments (cold storage and ambient areas).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules as required by warehouse operations.
