Grocery Clerk (Delivery Driver)

Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Grocery Clerk to join our Grocery team on a part-time basis at our location in St. Paul, AB . Reporting to the Grocery Manager.

What you’ll do:

• Engage with customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.
• Safely operate the company delivery vehicle for deliveries and pickups.
• Complete proper vehicle inspections and all required delivery paperwork.
• Load, unload and secure merchandise.
• Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking and displaying merchandise.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system to process transactions, perform popcorn-making duties and retrieve carts.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions.
• Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s vision, mission, values and focus on safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives.

Who you are

• You have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and can provide a satisfactory 5-year standard driver’s abstract.
• You are able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Loads exceeding 50 lbs will be managed with lifting equipment or assistance in accordance with safety guidelines.
• You are able to stand and move throughout your shift, including walking, bending, and reaching wile staying active with tasks such as assisting customers, unloading freight and stocking shelves.
• You are action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members.
• You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, valuing diverse perspectives to meet shared objectives.
