Job description

The Sr Director, Brand & Demand Generation leads the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that strengthen brand equity, generate demand, and accelerate lead generation across the Residential portfolio of brands and business units. This role is responsible for building brand awareness, driving customer acquisition and engagement, supporting channel and sales growth, and ensuring a consistent brand experience across all customer touchpoints.

The Sr Director oversees brand strategy, integrated marketing campaigns, content and media planning, digital marketing, lead generation programs, and communications. Working closely with business unit leaders, sales teams, product management, channel marketing, CoE marketing teams, and agency partners, this leader develops programs that drive measurable business growth while enhancing the reputation and value of the Residential portfolio.

The position leads a team of marketing professionals and external agency partners, ensuring alignment between brand strategy, business objectives, and customer needs.

Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Management

  • Lead the development and execution of brand strategies across the Residential portfolio to strengthen market position, customer preference, and brand equity.
  • Establish and maintain brand standards, governance, messaging frameworks, and visual identity guidelines.
  • Monitor brand health, awareness, consideration, and customer perception through research and performance metrics.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to align brand positioning with growth objectives and market opportunities.
  • Drive integrated brand campaigns that support both corporate and business unit priorities.
  • Ensure consistent brand experiences across digital, retail, channel partner, trade, and customer touchpoints.
  • Represent Residential brands within industry organizations, partnerships, sponsorships, and strategic marketing initiatives.

Demand Generation & Integrated Marketing

  • Develop and execute integrated demand generation strategies that increase awareness, engagement, qualified leads, and revenue opportunities.
  • Lead planning and execution of multi-channel campaigns across paid, owned, earned, and shared media.
  • Oversee campaign strategy, audience targeting, messaging, content development, media planning, and performance optimization.
  • Partner with product, sales, channel marketing, and customer teams to develop programs supporting new product launches and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Manage agency partners and marketing investments to maximize effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and optimize campaigns based on business outcomes and customer insights.
  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing and Customer Marketing teams to ensure alignment between demand generation and customer activation efforts.
  • Support national meetings, customer events, trade shows, and strategic marketing programs that strengthen customer relationships and drive business growth.

Lead Generation & Digital Marketing

  • Lead the development and execution of lead generation programs that drive qualified opportunities for business units and sales teams.
  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, paid media, email marketing, marketing automation, website optimization, and retargeting programs.
  • Partner with channel and customer marketing teams to create lead nurture programs and customer lifecycle campaigns.
  • Optimize digital experiences and conversion pathways to improve lead quality and acquisition efficiency.
  • Leverage analytics, dashboards, and attribution models to measure marketing effectiveness and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement of marketing technology platforms, workflows, and reporting capabilities.

Content Marketing & Communications

  • Develop content strategies that support brand awareness, thought leadership, customer education, and demand generation objectives.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality content including websites, articles, videos, social media, case studies, webinars, sales materials, and customer communications.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across all Residential brands and customer segments.
  • Partner with communications and public relations teams to amplify brand visibility and strengthen reputation.
  • Manage content calendars and editorial planning to support business priorities and marketing campaigns.
  • Measure content performance and optimize content investments based on engagement and business impact.

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish clear objectives, performance metrics, and development plans for team members.
  • Manage budgets, agency relationships, and marketing investments to maximize business impact.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making and marketing best practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading brand strategy, demand generation, integrated marketing, and lead generation programs.
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, brand management, digital marketing, and marketing analytics.
  • Experience managing agency partners, media investments, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect marketing strategies to commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and measuring marketing ROI.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within building products, manufacturing, home improvement, construction, or related industries.
  • Experience marketing through dealer, distributor, builder, contractor, or channel partner networks.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, customer data platforms, and advanced analytics tools.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 - $200,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
