Job Description: 

Copia is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to support aspects of financial reporting and general ledger accounting, including consolidations and eliminations and financial statement preparation within a multi-entity organization. The ideal candidate brings strong fundamentals of accounting, a working knowledge of GL mechanics, and familiarity with complex organizational structures.

The Financial Reporting Accountant will report directly to the Manager – Corporate Finance in an individual contributor capacity.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, including preparation of GAAP basis financial statements.
  • Support the consolidations process, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and tie outs across a complex legal entity structure.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entry preparation and review.
  • Assist in financial statement audit preparation and managing audit deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical accounting issues and special projects.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.

 Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years professional experience in accounting, experience in the renewable energy industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA license, preferred.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with accounting ERP platforms; NetSuite preferred.
  • Ability to work in the Salt Lake City, Utah, or Lake Oswego, Oregon office a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
