Job description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
This position will be responsible for the proper fabrication and assembling of metal parts and structures.

Essential Functions

Fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures according to technical drawings and quality standards
Loads and logs materials onto truck and documents returned materials
Able to read templates as per job specifications
Drill and install all hardware accurately as per job specifications
Attach all necessary hardware correctly as per job specifications
Inspect finished products for accuracy
Maintain a well-organized, clean and safe work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by management in support of initiatives

Competencies/Skills/Abilities

High School Diploma or GED required
Technical or vocational training in metal fabrication, welding or machining
1 to 3 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field
Ability to multi-task and work within specified timeframes
Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
Current Forklift certification required
Ability to problem-solve a plus
Previous work experience in the construction or distribution industry a plus
