UCT is looking for a talented Manager, Engineering to join us in Singapore!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Excited and enthusiastic about manufacturing and assembly automation. Experience working in an EMS or Contract Manufacturing company is an added advantage. Well-organized, detail-oriented, and methodical. A strong team player and effective collaborator. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering. Fluent in English. Preferred experience in global automation or U.S.-based deployment projects. PMP Certification is a plus. Ideate with site functional stakeholders to collect automation requirements. Perform technical and financial feasibility studies and define ROI calculations. Collaborate with suppliers and the automation system engineering team to finalize automation proposals. Develop business cases for senior management justification and obtain necessary approvals. Plan, execute, monitor, and hand over automation systems to site functional stakeholders Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proven experience in automation project management within a manufacturing environment. Solid knowledge & hands-on experience in Physical automation: Mechatronics & robotics, Complex Mechanisms, Motion systems, controls, PLC’s, Vision systems, Pneumatics & Mechanical systems Candidates with PLC/PC/AI knowledge will be given preference. You’ll be working in UCT, Singapore, but you will need to travel for about 20% of your time to United States and other countries. Educational/Certification Requirement: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred/directly related experience may be considered. PMP Certification is advantageous Work Experience Requirements: With a minimum of 5 years of experience in the followings: Automation Project Management in a manufacturing environment Solid knowledge & experience in Physical automation: Mechatronics & robotics, Complex Mechanisms, Motion systems, controls, PLC’s, Vision systems, Pneumatics & Mechanical systems.
