Job Description

Join a leading halal catering company as a Sous Chef, overseeing kitchen operations and staff to maintain high food quality and hygiene standards. Your leadership will ensure meals are prepared with consistent taste and presentation. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen activities while leading the team for optimal performance.

Your role includes monitoring food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and managing inventory effectively. Mentoring junior staff and stepping in during the Head Chef’s absence are crucial to maintaining operational continuity. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily kitchen operations for efficiency
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow
  • Monitor food quality and cooking processes
  • Maintain hygiene standards and kitchen cleanliness
  • Train junior staff to enhance skills and performance Requirements:
  • Food Safety / Hygiene certification is essential
  • 3-5 years of kitchen experience required
  • 1-2 years in a supervisory role preferred
  • Catering operations experience is a plus
