Legal Administrative Assistant

Our client, a well?established national law firm with a strong reputation for stability and collaboration is seeking a highly skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to join its Tysons, Virginia office. This is a small, close?knit office with a team of professionals working together to ensure seamless coverage. The firm is known for its collegial culture, low turnover, and genuine appreciation for its staff.

This role provides high?level administrative support to multiple attorneys, including the Office Managing Partner, and requires a team?oriented mindset, strong technical skills, and excellent judgment. The firm emphasizes that assistants support the firm as a whole, not just individual attorneys. A strong team?player philosophy is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, arrange domestic travel, and track deadlines.
• Prepare, format, and organize legal documents, correspondence, reports, and forms.
• Maintain client files, matter records, and internal databases.
• Assist with time entry, billing preparation, expense reporting, and coordination with accounting.
• Support client onboarding tasks such as preparing engagement letters, running conflict checks, and organizing new matter files.
• Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal administrative teams.
• Provide backup support to the other Legal Assistant to ensure consistent in?office coverage.
• Maintain up?to?date desk procedures for assigned attorneys.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist wherever needed in a small?office environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal administrative experience
• Tax or private wealth experience a plus.
• Strong tenure and demonstrated reliability in prior roles.
• Excellent administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
