Job description
Confido is the AI infrastructure powering modern CPG — the platform that 200+ brands like OLIPOP, Simple Mills, Dr. Squatch, and Tropicana use to run everything from deductions to production planning. Finance, accounting, sales, and operations, unified in one system for the first time.
We're growing 5x year over year and recently raised a $15M Series A led by Footwork and Y Combinator. We're a small, in-person team in New York City, which means the people who join now shape the product, the culture, and the company itself.
If you want your work on shelves everywhere — and outsized ownership while you build — we'd love to meet you.
THE ROLE
We're hiring a CPG Disputes Specialist to own the deduction and dispute resolution experience for our customers. Disputes sit at the center of what Confido automates for CPG brands, and this role is the connective tissue between our Implementation, Customer Success, and Product teams — making sure customers actually resolve disputes faster and more accurately on our platform, not just process them.
You'll work hands-on with customer data to investigate and resolve deduction disputes, help new customers get their dispute workflows configured correctly during onboarding, and be the expert voice that tells Product where the platform's dispute logic needs to evolve.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Implementation Support
- Partner with the Implementation team during customer onboarding to configure dispute workflows
- Help new customers migrate and clean up historical dispute and deduction data as part of go-live
- Train customer teams on how to manage disputes within the Confido platform
Customer Success Partnership
- Act as the dispute-resolution expert within the broader CS relationship, jumping into health checks or escalations when disputes are a pain point
- Help CS managers explain dispute trends, aging, and recovery performance to customers in QBRs
- Flag at-risk accounts where unresolved disputes signal a deeper adoption or workflow issue
Product Feedback Loop
- Surface patterns across customers' disputes to Product — where automation breaks down, where reason codes don't fit reality, where manual work persists
- Help test and validate new dispute-related features before they ship
- Be a subject matter expert that Product and Engineering can call on when scoping the dispute/deductions roadmap
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of experience in deductions, trade promotion finance, accounts receivable, or a similar CPG/retail-adjacent operations role
- Comfortable working in the details of retailer/distributor documentation and reconciling discrepancies with precision
- Strong cross-functional communicator — equally comfortable talking to a customer, an implementation lead, and a product manager
- Process-oriented with a sharp eye for patterns; you notice when something's recurring and want to fix the root cause, not just the instance
- Experience with CPG trade, deductions, or AR systems is a strong plus
- Excited to be in our NYC headquarters 5 days a week
🌴 PERKS + BENEFITS
- Equity — own a piece of what you're building
- Fully paid health coverage with Aetna (we cover 100% of premiums)
- Top-tier dental and vision through Guardian
- 12 weeks paid parental leave
- Unlimited PTO, plus regular 4-day holiday weekends we actually take
- 401(k) through Vestwell
- Paid relocation — we'll get you here
- Full desk setup on day one (laptop, monitor, keyboard) + a $200 stipend to make it yours
- Catered Friday lunches, team dinners on us, and unlimited coffee + snacks featuring our own brands
