Windows Server & Office 365 Administrator

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities are server and O365 support, including technical and non-technical (scheduling, communication, etc.) activities. Secondary responsibilities include SANstorage and other related support.

Experience

  • Knowledge and experience (5+ years) required with:VMware administration
  • Windows server administration
  • Microsoft Active Directory administration and support
  • Microsoft O365
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Providing technical leadership for mid-size projects
  • Knowledge and experience preferred with:RedHat administration
  • Red Hat Satellite
  • Ansible scripting
  • NetApp
  • Familiarity with the following would be beneficial:Cohesity
  • SAN storage administration
  • Fiber Chanel
  • Cloud services
  • ITIL processes

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work on tasks and Assignments as assigned.Work on daily incidents for the team (Diagnosis, troubleshooting, providing temporary and permanent countermeasures)
  • Work on problem tickets - Root cause analysis, implementing countermeasure, preparing reports for management
  • Work on customer requests -Deploying servers, system upgrades, rightsizing system resources, enabling access
  • Create, implement and support system changes (RFCs)
  • Work on kaizen tickets - Small changes, little coordination with others
  • Work on projects as required - Large changes, high levels of coordination with others
  • Work well with the existing support group, and vendors to meet business requirements

  • Customer First Attitude: understanding who customer is and how to best serve them
  • Contribute to the teams shared documentation library.

Project Management Skills:

  • Some experience managing projects (individually or teams) and a familiarity with PMO process would be an asset

Soft Skills:

  • Good listening and verbal communications
  • Effectiveness and enthusiasm: wanting to make a contribution (“can do” attitude)

Other:

  • This role will include daily break/fix activity as well as project work.
  • After-hours and weekend support is required with this position (iPhone & laptop provided)
  • Cambridge will be primary office, must be willing to travel to Woodstock as needed (currently less than 1 day / month).
  • Work is mainly on site with up to 1 day/week pre-scheduled remote
  • Strong opportunity to renew (Annual renewals are in April, and based on good performance)
  • We have numerous contractors here that have been with us for over 5 years
  • Candidate will be expected to manage their time so the consume the hours (burn rate) appropriately
