Ford Motor Company Hybrid On-Site 12+ Months $60-75/HR High‑Level OverviewFord is hiring an AI / ML Engineer to help build and operationalize machine learning capabilities — including model development, deployment, and agent‑based systems — in a production environment. This role is MLOps‑heavy, but Ford does not yet have a fully mature MLOps platform, so the engineer will help shape and stand up those practices. What the Role Is Focused OnThis role is roughly split into two equal parts:50% – ML Model DevelopmentBuilding ML models using PyTorchWorking with real‑time dataApplying ML techniques to real production problemsCollaborating with data engineers on inputs and pipelines50% – Agents & ML EnablementDeveloping agents in GCPSupporting the data and ML ecosystemWorking with prompt engineeringHelping operationalize ML workflowsTechnology & Platform ContextPythonPyTorch (model development)Vertex AI (deployment and orchestration)GCP (core environment)Real‑time data processingCandidates don’t need to be GCP experts on day one, but they must have production ML experience.MLOps Expectations This role is ideal for someone who:Has deployed ML models into productionUnderstands:model versioningmonitoringretrainingdata driftIs comfortable working in environments where:tooling is evolvingstandards are still being definedThey are helping build the runway, not just using it.Education & Background FlexibilityFord is open to:Master’s candidates from top programsAs long as they have:hands‑on ML experienceexposure to production‑level systemsIdeal Candidate Profile You’re looking for someone who:Has built ML models (PyTorch)Has deployed them into productionUnderstands MLOps conceptsCan work with real‑time dataIs interested in agents and applied AIIs comfortable in an evolving environment
