Overview

We are seeking a qualified candidate with several years of experience managing a hotel having an onsite in Canada. The ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of all aspects of hotel operations, including front office management, housekeeping, revenue management, staff supervision, and guest relations within the Canadian hospitality industry. Proven leadership skills, the ability to drive operational efficiency, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences are essential.

Please note that this role requires overseeing both the hotel and the on-site restaurant, as they operate within the same building. Experience in food and beverage operations will be considered a strong asset.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue through effective pricing, booking management, and promotional initiatives.
  • Oversee guest services to guarantee outstanding customer experiences, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Manage human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff scheduling to maintain a motivated team.
  • Monitor budgeting processes, control costs, and optimize resource allocation to meet financial targets.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, hotel policies, and legal regulations across all departments.
  • Handle guest relations directly when necessary, ensuring high satisfaction levels and positive reviews.
  • Oversee night audit procedures to reconcile accounts and ensure financial accuracy overnight.
  • Utilize multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
  • Coordinate with resort or hotel management teams to uphold brand standards and service excellence.

Skills

  • Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel management industry.
  • Strong background in hospitality management practices including revenue management, guest services, and hotel operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Expertise in human resources functions such as staffing, training, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Deep understanding of guest relations principles and customer service excellence.
  • Experience managing front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, and night audit procedures.
