Job Description
Deliverables:
The UX Designer will be responsible for ensuring user-centered design solutions that align with business goals and enhance the overall user experience. This includes conducting user research, creating personas, mapping user journeys, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. The UX Designer will also facilitate design thinking workshops to foster collaboration, uncover user needs, and drive innovative problem-solving across cross-functional teams.
The UX Designer provides strategic and tactical UX support throughout the product development lifecycle. This includes synthesizing research insights, defining user requirements, designing intuitive interfaces, and iterating based on user feedback. They also lead and participate in design review sessions to co-create and advise on solutions with SGI’s product delivery teams and other stakeholders.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and Prototype User-Centered Solutions
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for insurance-related digital products such as customer and partner portals, broker management systems, and issuer tools ensuring accessibility and ease of use.
- Map and Optimize User Journeys
- Develop detailed user flows and service blueprints to identify friction points and opportunities for improving the end-to-end insurance experience.
- Collaborate Across Cross-Functional Teams
- Work closely with product managers, developers, business analysts, and compliance teams to ensure UX designs align with business goals, technical feasibility, and regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for UX Best Practices and Standards
- Promote a user-first mindset across the organization by sharing insights, mentoring team members, and contributing to the development of product guidelines and design systems.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Must have previously worked with SGI on the research and design of the custom-built SGI Auto Fund DRIVE Platform
- Certification in human-centered design, interaction design, visual design, or related field
- 3+ years of related experience with user interface design, product delivery, and design workshop facilitation
- Competency with the following technologies and skills:

- Microsoft Office
