Position Overview:

We are seeking an Intermediate Technical Writer to support enterprise-level documentation initiatives within a secure, government-regulated environment. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing technical and procedural documentation related to ERP/SAP systems, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with organizational standards. The Technical Writer will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including functional analysts and system experts, to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly materials that support end users and operational processes.

This role requires Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain standard operating procedures, user guides, manuals, process documentation, and training materials
  • Translate complex system and functional information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation
  • Collaborate with functional analysts, system subject matter experts, and end users to gather requirements and validate content accuracy
  • Produce documentation aligned with required organizational formats, templates, and standards
  • Ensure all documentation meets established standards for clarity, consistency, and security compliance
  • Maintain version control and manage document repositories (e.g., enterprise document management systems)
  • Support audit, validation, and compliance activities through accurate and up-to-date documentation
  • Contribute to documentation efforts related to system updates, releases, and modernization initiatives
  • Ensure documentation supports large and diverse user communities effectively

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance that is valid and transferable
  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer within an ERP or SAP environment
  • Experience producing procedural documentation and training materials for enterprise systems
  • Experience working in secure, government, or highly regulated environments
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Experience with SAP environments such as SAP S/4HANA is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with government or enterprise documentation standards is an asset
  • Experience supporting large user bases and enterprise-wide systems is an asset
  • Experience contributing to system releases or modernization initiatives is an asset
