Position Overview:

As part of the Compugen team, you will be a member of a highly innovative solutions environment where the people are dedicated and focused on continuous learning and growth opportunities. In support of our customer, we are seeking a Junior Deskside Support Analyst (Field) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in imaging and deployment of desktops, laptops and peripherals following deployment documentation and checklists

Test for nominal operation of devices post-deployment

Troubleshooting to identify and resolve root cause of hardware or software malfunctions at the deskside level

Follow documentation and direction as required

Smart Hands for AV, Telephony and Network teams

Provide proper and prompt updates to documentation

Skills & Qualifications:

A college or university education within Computer Sciences

1-2 years of experience with desktop deployments, desktop troubleshooting and upgrades

Previous experience completing Installs, moves, adds, changes of computer equipment including Workstations, laptops, tablets and mobile devices.

Windows Operating System proficiency ideally in Windows 10 and Windows 11

Experience troubleshooting issues with the Microsoft 365 suite and provide solutions both in person and to remote clients via Phone or Virtual meeting.

Knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Microsoft Intune an asset

Able to configure and troubleshoot VPN access and remote connectivity

Perform basic Network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

Able to troubleshoot Printer/Printing issues

Assist with client onboarding/offboarding

ServiceNow or equivalent Ticketing system experience

Effective written and verbal interpersonal skills

Outstanding customer service skills

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks

Availability for shift work / On-Call

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. regularly

A+ Certification an asset

Oilsands Safety certifications an asset.

Additional Qualifications (Oil Sands teams):

Willingness to travel to remote sites in Alberta's Oil Sands region
