Reporting to the General Manager, Park Café, the Support Staff will work diligently to deliver great service and quality products to ensure our visitors have a wonderful experience that exceed their expectations. The Support Staff will be the first point of contact in person or over the phone and will set the tone for the dining experience. They will cheerfully greet guests, take them to their tables, provide them with a menu, and let them know of any specials. The Support Staff will monitor the table rotation and make sure that each member of the wait staff gets a fair amount of tables. They will prepare dining areas by thoroughly cleaning and setting the restaurant tables between guests and support Servers to ensure all tables are set and cleared in a timely manner. The Support Staff will work collaboratively with the entire team providing support to the Servers and Kitchen Staff.
Key Accountabilities
Restaurant and Concessions Operations
- Cheerfully greet our guests.
- Escort guests to their table.
- Inform our guests of the soup, their servers name and any other information required.
- Clean and set tables, ensuring chairs and the surrounding area is clean.
- Answer the phone, take reservations and takeout orders.
- Make regular bathroom checks for cleanliness.
- Work with the Food Services Team to deliver great service and quality products to ensure our visitors have a wonderful experience that exceeds their expectations.
- Assist with other departments where appropriate.
- Provide support to the goodwill ambassador volunteers on site.
Health and Safety
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in restaurant areas.
- Strive to uphold a safe working environment and be Health and Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining and improving a safe work environment.
General Duties
- Adhere and comply with all Park Hospitality policies, safety regulations and safe work practices that will ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintain a professional image while working and provide extraordinary experiences to our park visitors while performing daily work activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, volunteers, and visitors.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the principles of equity and diversity, and proven ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
