Job Description

Assiniboine Park is one of Winnipeg’s most visited destinations, welcoming millions of guests annually across attractions such as the Zoo, The Leaf, seasonal events, and expansive green spaces. Park Hospitality, operated by Levy Canada, oversees food, beverage, retail, and guest services. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing and programming initiatives that enhance guest experience, drive engagement, and support revenue growth across all hospitality operations.

The Food, Beverage and Retail Marketing Manager is employed by Levy Canada but fully integrated into the Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) Marketing & Communications team, ensuring seamless collaboration between hospitality operations, programming, and marketing. The role requires strong knowledge and experience in the food and beverage industry, with retail marketing as a key component of the position, while remaining primarily focused on Food & Beverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead programming and marketing for all food, beverage, and retail operations within the Park.
  • Analyze operational performance metrics to inform strategy and programming decisions.
  • Plan and execute menu features, limited‑time offers, seasonal promotions, and culinary activations.
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu development, presentation, and production.
  • Support special events, catering showcases, wedding shows, and promotional activities for Park venues.
  • Prepare and present performance reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with retail leadership on merchandising, promotional plans, and in‑store presentation.
  • Contribute to the annual marketing framework for Park Hospitality.
  • Develop print and digital marketing assets in collaboration with internal and external design resources.
  • Capture photo and video content to support marketing and social media.
  • Create execution guides and support frontline teams with training to ensure consistent delivery.
  • Ensure all programs align with APC and Park Hospitality brand and service standards.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of marketing experience, ideally in hospitality, restaurants, catering, events, entertainment, or retail.
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Canva or similar design tools.
  • Experience analyzing data to inform marketing strategy.
  • Experience guiding graphic designers and producing marketing materials.
