Job Description
At Manulife, our Global Retirement Marketing Team is accountable for developing marketing strategies to help people save and invest to live their best life, wherever they're on their financial journey. As an Associate Marketing Manager, you'll drive and deliver pivotal digital initiatives across brand and marketing strategy, marketing operational efficiency, thought leadership, content management, campaigns, and other marketing-related activities. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, North America, this role is integral to the ongoing development and management of digital marketing initiatives that support the North American retirement business. Position Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy Develop, manage and implement B2C marketing plans and initiatives that help drive better retirement outcomes, leveraging a multi-channel digital-first approach, increasing brand awareness, educating and engaging members of group retirement plans. Drive awareness, consideration and acquisition through various digital channels, including email marketing, thought leadership content and social media. Lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives by leading cross-functional teams, including creative, compliance, editorial, digital marketing, translation, product and both external and internal communications. Work cross-functionally on new digital launches to deliver impactful enhancements to the end-to-end member experiences. Create go‑to‑market strategies that enable the sales team to clearly and effectively communicate new product features, benefits, and campaign messages to clients, supporting both retention and new business growth. Operational Efficiency Support and readily adapt to marketing modernization and transformation efforts by implementing processes that unlock efficiencies across the entire marketing organization with a digital-first mentality. Seek and implement innovative and automated processes to enable marketing to focus on high-value functions while identifying and showcasing automation savings to the organization. Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content and marketing materials. Drive continuous improvement through testing, analysis, reviewing customer feedback and optimization of marketing tactics. Digital activation and governance Create and maintain marketing content for collateral, internal platforms (i.e. SharePoint, Seismic, Workfront) and external digital channels (i.e. websites and social media) Contribute to the formulation of timely performance reports with relevant analysis based on data from various sources, including digital marketing campaigns. Leverage industry-leading best practices, AI, marketing technology (MarTech), marketing automation, and workflow management tools to create campaigns and track outcomes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus. 3-5 years of marketing or business experience Strong organizational and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and ever-changing deadlines. Proven track record of successful marketing campaign management and execution. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated negotiating skills and self-motivated/ambitious. Detail-oriented with a critical eye for quality. Results-oriented and execution-focused within a fast-paced environment Ability to blend confidence with tact, liaising directly with colleagues throughout the organization to get what’s needed to get the job done. Adaptive to change, both on a micro scale in terms of conflicting project requests and priorities, as well as larger-scale changes in an ever-shifting industry landscape. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the financial services industry and group retirement market is a plus. Proficiency in digital channels and platforms, comfortable with marketing automation tools, able to leverage digital tools and data to drive/optimize compelling marketing campaigns Comfortable in both challenging technical and interpersonal environments Knowledge of progressive technology platforms such as Adobe Journey Optimizer, Workfront, Seismic, and the Microsoft suite is an asset. Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. Referenced Salary Location Montreal, Quebec Working Arrangement Hybrid Salary range is expected to be between $71,475.00 CAD - $119,125.00 CAD Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
