Our technology and team of trusted advisors help members achieve financial independence by taking care of everything from business incorporation to accounting, bookkeeping, tax services, and access to a thriving community, all in one integrated platform. We are backed by General Catalyst, Sound Ventures (Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary), QED Investors, Google’s Gradient Ventures, Expa, and other investors who have financed iconic companies like YouTube, Substack, Twitch, Box, Hims, Instacart, and Lyft.

About the role

We’re looking for a full-stack IC Product Design Lead to join our Design team. A ground-floor opportunity in a design-driven company. Join a hyper-collaborative design team and get autonomy, ownership, and significant impact across the entire product. You will evolve our design process, own entire projects, and contribute to the development of a diverse team that champions our users’ voices and ships incredible experiences every day.

What you'll do

  • Deeply understand our customers’ needs, business objectives, and state of the industry to imagine & bring to life paradigm-changing experiences.
  • Establish a high bar for visual polish and intuitive interaction patterns.
  • Clearly define customer and business problems. Explore broad-to-narrow solutions with thoughtful designs.
  • Pioneer the integration of AI tools and generative design techniques into our core design workflows to accelerate ideation, increase output efficiency, and unlock entirely new product experiences.
  • Ideate, design, launch and improve products to help advance Collective’s mission.
  • Work with a cross functional product development team (product managers, engineers, designers, operations, sales & marketing) to ship innovative and well-crafted experiences, for scale
  • Optimize for execution velocity while maintaining a high quality bar, making tradeoffs between design choices and resources available.
  • Contribute to growing a robust & refined design system

What you'll bring:

  • 6 - 8+ years of experience as a Product Designer
  • Demonstrated impact on product strategy and customer experience in previous roles, preferably within Fintech or Consumer Tech.
  • Outstanding UX capabilities and strong visual design competency, including visual, UI/UX, copy writing and systems-design.
  • Experience with and a high bar for visual polish and intuitive, simple design patterns.
  • Passion for turning complex problems into simple & engaging solutions.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI/ML tools (e.g., generative AI, automated testing) to enhance the speed and quality of the design process.
  • Innate understanding of the end-to-end design process - from identifying customer needs and pain points to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • The ability to apply consumer insights and metrics to inform design decisions and influence the product roadmap
  • Strong systems thinker with the ability to connect the dots across the entire customer journey.

What we offer

  • Hybrid Work Model: Based in San Francisco with a balance of in-office and remote flexibility.
