Application Support Analyst (Azure/Databricks/OpenShift)

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON

Weekly Hours: 37.5 - (Hybrid) - In office every Tuesday and 1 Friday a month

Duration: 6-month contract + possible extension

PAY: $55-60/hr

Overview/Scope

Senior Application Support Analyst to support data platform applications within the Financial Crimes Technology environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and supporting applications running on Azure, Databricks, and OpenShift, with responsibilities including deployments, releases, environment configuration, and ongoing production support.

This role will initially support a core project but may also contribute to additional initiatives within the Financial Crimes & Enterprise Risk Technology space. Tech Stack: CaaS, Azure Databricks, Azure in general, LINUX

D2D:

• Provide application support and operational support for data platform applications.
• Participate in project and technical meetings with App Delivery (ADs) and technical partners.
• Support monthly production releases and deployments across cloud and container environments.
• Configure and maintain Azure Databricks pipelines, notebooks, and related data workflows.
• Perform database queries and troubleshooting (Oracle and related systems).
• Manage OpenShift deployments and configuration across environments.
• Handle Linux-based deployments and environment setup when required.
• Support permissioning and access management, including RBAC and environment permissions.
• Ensure correct environment promotion and configuration from development → test → production.
• Assist with ongoing improvements following recent cloud migrations.
• Support occasional after-hours or weekend releases when required.

Must Haves:

• Strong experience with Azure and Azure Databricks
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift deployments and configuration.
• Experience with database technologies (preferably Oracle).
• Familiarity with Linux environments and deployments.
• Experience supporting data pipelines, notebooks, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Knowledge of RBAC, permissioning, and access management.
• Experience supporting application releases and production deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within large enterprise environments, preferably banking or financial services.
• Previous experience supporting Databricks migrations or cloud modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with enterprise compliance and security processes in regulated environments.
