Role: Founding Sales Manager

We are looking for a highly driven Founding Sales Manager to help build and scale the sales engine at CodeRound from the ground up.

This is not a traditional sales role. You will work directly with the founder and play a key role in shaping:

  • Go-to-market strategy
  • Founder-led sales processes
  • Outbound sales systems
  • Early enterprise and startup relationships
  • Revenue operations
  • Messaging and positioning

You will have significant ownership and visibility from day one.

What You’ll Do

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and reach out to startup founders, CTOs, VP Engineering, and talent leaders
  • Drive outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, email, referrals, and founder networks
  • Own the end-to-end sales pipeline from lead generation to closing
  • Conduct discovery calls and product demos
  • Build relationships with venture-backed startups and hiring teams
  • Follow up consistently and manage sales cadence effectively

GTM & Strategy

  • Work closely with the founder on pricing, positioning, and sales strategy
  • Help refine messaging based on customer conversations
  • Build repeatable sales playbooks and outreach systems
  • Identify new customer segments and partnership opportunities
  • Contribute to revenue forecasting and growth planning

Customer Success & Expansion

  • Ensure strong onboarding and customer experience
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Identify upsell and expansion opportunities
  • Gather customer feedback and relay insights to the product team

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–4 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, recruitment sales, HRTech sales, or startup business development
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable speaking with founders and senior stakeholders
  • Highly proactive and execution-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in an early-stage startup environment with ambiguity
  • Strong ownership mindset and willingness to build from scratch
  • Excellent follow-through and organizational skills

Bonus Points If You

  • Have sold to startups or engineering teams before
  • Understand technical hiring or recruitment workflows
  • Have worked at an early-stage startup
  • Have experience with outbound sales and cold outreach
  • Have experience using CRM and sales automation tools
