Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Server L3 Engineer to manage and support enterprise Windows infrastructure. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, system design validation, patch management, automation, and migration activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policies, Failover Clustering, and OS security, along with hands-on experience in VMware technologies for virtualization management and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Windows Server (Wintel): Provide L3 technical support and perform root cause analysis for critical incidents. Manage and support Windows Server environments (2008/2012/2016/2019/2022/2025). Troubleshoot complex OS issues including performance bottlenecks, kernel errors, and BSOD.

Administer Active

Directory (AD), including forest/domain management and FSMO roles. Manage DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, login scripts, and security baselines. Implement and manage Windows Failover Clusters, File Server clusters, and Always-On clusters. Perform OS hardening and ensure CIS/security compliance. Manage patching cycles using tools like WSUS, SCCM, BigFix, JetPatch. Handle file servers, DFS, quotas, print servers, KMS, and SFTP servers. Perform migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management for Windows technologies. Troubleshoot hardware issues including RAID and servers (IBM, Nutanix, HP, Dell). Provide on-site data center support for infrastructure maintenance. Automate administrative tasks using scripting (PowerShell preferred). Collaborate with global teams and work in a 24×7 shift environment.

VMware (Secondary Skill): Administer VMware technologies including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, SRM, and Update Manager. Manage HA, DRS clusters, resource pools, and virtual infrastructure performance. Perform installation, configuration, and patching of ESXi environments.

Troubleshoot L3-level VMware issues and handle critical escalations with RCA. Work with tools like vRealize Operations, Log Insight, and Network Insight. Manage backup and recovery solutions (Veeam, NetBackup, BackupExec, etc.).

Configure virtual networking, storage, and SAN integrations. Automate VMware deployments and ensure security compliance.

Educational Qualification: As per project requirement

Technical Skills (Must Have): Strong expertise in Windows Server administration and troubleshooting Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies Experience in failover clustering and high availability configurations Hands-on experience with patching tools (WSUS, SCCM, etc.) Strong scripting skills (PowerShell) for automation Experience in OS hardening, security compliance, and performance tuning VMware vSphere expertise (ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS) Experience working in enterprise/global environments

Secondary Skills (Nice to Have): Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana Experience with backup tools (Veeam, NetBackup, IBM TSM, etc.) Basic understanding of storage systems and SAN switches Relevant certifications in VMware or Microsoft technologies
