Entry-Level Accountant

Join our dynamic accounting team as an Entry-Level Accountant, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining precise financial records and supporting various financial operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Code, review, and post vendor invoices accurately.
  • Conduct audits and follow up to guarantee timely processing of invoices.
  • Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, addressing variances as required.
  • Handle bank-related functions, including deposits and drafting checks.
  • Review weekly check runs to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed, such as answering calls and managing vendor information.
  • Prepare and post general journal entries when necessary.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of vendor contracts and ensure correct entry into our system.
  • Continuously assess accounts payable processes and suggest improvements.
  • Assist with month-end closings under guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies during vendor onboarding.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial data.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments as per invoicing terms.
  • Compile audit-ready vendor files to meet departmental standards.
  • Develop and manage reports as requested.
  • Check and respond to work-related emails regularly throughout the day.
  • Participate in and complete all required training sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a related field plus a minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, complemented by exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Able to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clinical staff and the public.
  • Capable of independent work and collaboration within a team environment.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and logical reasoning.
  • Commitment to upholding a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare field and medical terminology is preferred.
  • Desire to provide excellent customer service and maintain high ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience with accounting software.
  • Experience in a similar position within the healthcare sector.

Driving/Travel:

Reliable transportation is required, as work assignments may be at any of the Company's locations.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $65,000/year - $75,000/year
  • PTO: Up to 96 hours in the first year (pro-rated based on start date)
  • Holidays: 7 designated holidays per year
