Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: CA$24.00/hour

Averaging Agreement: Overtime calculated using an 88-hour averaging agreement

Schedule: Continental Shifts (Days & Nights)

Overview

Paladin Security is looking for professional, customer-focused, and dependable individuals to join our team as High Profile Security Guards in Downtown Toronto.

In this role, you'll provide a visible security presence within a busy retail and commercial environment while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for tenants, visitors, and staff by proactively monitoring the property, responding to incidents, and enforcing safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols of the property.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and parking facilities for safety concerns.
• Manage access control by verifying identification and monitoring visitor/vendor access.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond quickly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.
• Coordinate with emergency responders when necessary.
• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting tenants, employees, and visitors.
• Enforce property rules, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Complete accurate reports and incident documentation.

Maintain a highly visible professional presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.

• Requirements

Must Have

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a WSIB-approved provider.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and customer service skills.
• Availability to work rotating continental shifts (days and nights).
• Must possess—or successfully complete prior to onboarding—Paladin's Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) certifications. Paladin covers certification costs with a 6-month employment commitment.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or high-volume customer service.

Post-secondary education in Law Enforcement, Criminology, Police Foundations, or a related discipline.
