Job Description
Position: Federal Solutions Engineer (DoW/FedCiv)
Claroty’s Public Sector practice is rapidly expanding to secure the mission‑critical systems that our society’s safety and stability depend on. We are looking for mission‑driven professionals who want to join a high‑growth team dedicated to protecting national infrastructure and ensuring essential services remain resilient and uninterrupted.
About
The Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the technical pivot point for our Federal and SLED sales teams. You will bridge the gap between complex OT/ICS environments and Claroty’s cybersecurity solutions, helping government agencies secure their most critical infrastructure. Ideal candidates will be located in the DC area and comfortable with up to 30% travel.
Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities
As a Solutions Engineer, your impact will be:
- Lead technical discovery to uncover customer pain points in OT/ICS environments. Architect bespoke Claroty solutions that integrate with existing IT/security stacks (SIEM, Firewalls, Asset Management).
- Plan and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs). You will own the technical win by demonstrating ROI and platform value through live evaluations.
- Deliver high-impact demonstrations to audiences ranging from GS-level engineers to C-level executives and Senior Government officials.
- Partner with Fed/SLED channel partners to create reusable reference architectures. Support RFI/RFP responses with deep technical accuracy.
- Act as a feedback loop between the field and Engineering. Stay ahead of trends in industrial automation, Zero Trust, and threat landscapes.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- 5+ years in Sales Engineering or Solutions Architecture, specifically supporting Federal (Civilian, DoD, or IC) or SLED accounts.
- Expert-level L2–L4 troubleshooting. Mastery of traffic acquisition (SPAN/RSPAN, TAPs, virtual switching) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Deep knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, CIP, DNP3, IEC 61850) and architect-level understanding of the Purdue Model.
- Familiarity with translating technical findings into federal risk language (NIST SP 800-82, RMF, CISA CPGs) and navigating ATO constraints.
- Ability to translate “bits and bytes” into mission‑level impact for non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple PoCs and complex RFP timelines simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications: CISSP, GICSP, or CCNA certifications are highly valued.
- Active Secret clearance required;
Top Secret preferred.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% as needed.
